The HILLS Family of Yorkshire

Hills tree

This abbreviated family tree shows the descendants of Thomas HILLS born 1798, down to myself.
Thomas HILLS 1798 and Rebecca BURLEY lived at Sherburn-in-Elmet, later moving to Dickon Farm, Owston near Doncaster. Thomas was a churchwarden and overseer of the poor in addition to running the farm. The youngest of their 13 children, Henry HILLS became a gamekeeper, marrying Mary Batty GODFREY of Hooton Pagnell. They later moved to Thorpe Salvin, half way between Sheffield and Worksop.

Henry and Mary's eldest son George Batty HILLS born 1868 was a schoolmaster in Sheffield when he married, but later moved back to Thorpe Salvin. George and his wife Lilian survived to celebrate their diamond wedding and are now buried together in Thorpe Salvin churchyard and George's father Henry is buried nearby.

George and Lilian's eldest son, also called George Batty HILLS (b.1888) married Mary MASON and they lived in Sheffield, later moving to Worksop.

George and Mary's eldest son (my father) married Betty BERRY from London, earlier generations of her family having originated in Kent, Devon, and Cornwall.

Where is this?
Can anyone identify where this photograph was taken? Probably somewhere in the Sheffield area. It shows myself in about 1947, next to my grandmother's car.
