Lost 25/10/59. [Endorsed on 1847 certificate]
From the "West Briton" Friday November 4th 1859 Port Isaac. On October 25th, at 10.30pm., in a heavy gale at N.W., the "Busy", Crocker, of Newquay, with coals, from Newport for Pentewan, ran for Port Isaac. It being low water with a heavy sea at the time, the vessel was a long way out. By the paiseworthy exertions of the inhabitants, in their boats, and at a great risk of their lives, with the assistance of the coast-guard, after a length of time the crew were saved. The vessel as the tide flowed beat into high water, and was much damaged.
