Merchant brig, Rattery, of and from Newhaven for Shields (ballast) got ashore on the Kentish Knock 6 A.M., 13th inst., but afterwards came off and foundered in deep water.
Crew and master's wife saved, and landed at Dover next morning, by the brig Mary, of Whitby, Allison, from Shields for Rouen. A boat belonging to the Merchant has been landed at Harwich. 18.4.79.
